What was the question?
A couple of days ago on NPR, I heard someone interview John Bolton, the US rep to the UN, about North Korea. He asked Mr. Bolton a question that I very much wanted to know the answer to: Would the US affirm that, in the event that a nuclear bomb detonated in the US that originated in North Korea, or that was on a missile built in North Korea, that the US would respond against North Korea with a nuclear strike.
Mr. Bolton replied that the US would honor its defensive obligations.
Which totally ignored the question.
I don't blame Mr. Bolton - I blame the reporter. Reporters, if somebody ignores your question, ask the question again. And again. They need you more than you think they do.
