Your salesperson is not "your" salesperson
I heard a Lexus dealership boast in a radio ad that for years running, they were the only DC-area Lexus dealer to get a "best dealer" award from Lexus HQ. But Lexus HQ doesn't give dealers awards for making their customers happy. Lexus HQ gives dealers awards for making lots of money. By selling cars at a big profit. Which probably means you are more likely to be screwed by an award-winning dealership than by a non-award-winning dealership. Doesn't it?
